Inexpensive Fish-Eye lens

I alway thought that it will be expensive to buy a fish eye lens adapter for my compact digital camera. Until recently i read this PC magazine and it teach us how to make a fish eye lens out of a less than $15 dollar door peephole. For best results, you want to use as wide a peep hole as possible. An ultrawide door viewer from a home supply store will cost you about $15, although if you want to scrimp further you can get narrower ones for even less.DIY fish eye lens DIY fish eye lens

To attach the peephole you need some type of permanent mount on the camera. This where having an older camera can be better. If your camera doesn’t have a screw thread you will need to tape a piece of PVC tubing onto your camera and then tape the peephole onto it. After it is done remember to turn off your built-in-flash, as it will be blocked by the door viewer. To get your subjects nicely in focus you still need to experiment with zooming in and with the macro mode.
