First freeware i going to show you is this GIMP. GIMP stand for GNU Image Manipulation Program, it is a open source software release by 2 student in 1996 since then it has developed into one of the powerful photo editor. At one time it was even compare to as good as a adobe photoshop. It offered layers, channels, paths, and a spate of painting tools similar to adobe photoshop. If you are someone looking for basic feature of adobe photoshop this is definitly a freeware you must try. Installing of this software is painlessly on Windows compare to adobe photoshop due to they are offering a lot more feature.

The next free editing tools is Google Picasa, this tools is useful for beginner photographer or maybe your grandfather and grandmother who are not so tech savvy. It offer easy to use editing tool, organize your photo in album and easy sharing with your family and friend because you can choose to upload your photo to online Picasa and then pass your friend the web address for them to access your album. You can even do editing online if you are using someone else computer.

Paint Dot Net
The third freeware is Paint.net, not as popular as the previous two freewares. Paint.net is one way to edit your pictures with a bit of professional touch. It is nothing like Photoshop but with a little effort the results can be fantastic. The application is a much more improved version of MS Paint and the most of the modern instruments are available.
