DIY your own lens hood with custom shape

With this simple DIY lens hood you will be able to create a shape of your choice on a blur image. What you need is a 50mm F1.8 lens. Best is to have the new Nikon 50mm F1.4 cause the largest the aperture the resulting effect will be better.

First get a sheet of contruction paper. Shape it to the size of the lens then at the middle cut out a shape you like.

Secondly once you have completely attach it to the lens, it is now ready to set your camera aperture to the lowest value (mean largest aperture opening).

Lastly just take a few shot and try to shoot at different angle.
