Robot babies
Researchers from the Machine Perception Laboratory at the University of California, San Diego have teamed up with Japanese robotics firm Kokoro Co., Ltd. to create a sophisticated humanoid robot modeled after a 1-year-old child.

The baby robot was created to study how infants develop motor skills during the first year of life but no reason was give for the gigantic head design. In addition to providing clues about how infants interact with the physical world, researchers will also use the robot to explore how babies acquire and refine the ability to use nonverbal communication such as gestures and facial expressions. Maybe researcher can get more information from conducting survey on mother, nanny and child care teacher.

As for now the baby is still in the developing stage. I prefer them to come out with a more realistic robot to train inexperience mother. That will be more useful.

Always getting bad services from the restaurant you visited. In the future when you visit restaurant like this one in Germany, no one will be serving you. Place your orders using the touch panel and then insert the chip card that is given to you. Your order is now recorded and send to the kitchen. The food that you order for will be prepare by a chef who will later place the food on a rail and it will be automatically send to you. While waiting for the food you can continue to use the touch panel to surf the restaurant history or surf the internet.

Coffee-Making Robot
You are right to argue that there are already so many type of coffee mixer machine around. Why do we still need a coffee robot which take longer time to prepare coffee than the coffee mixer machine? Dun you find the robot is cute and when your are bore it may be nice to watch it make coffee to kill some of your bore time. Anyway i think this just show that how advance Japanese is when come to making robot.
