Data Detect Adds Cutting-Edge Clean Room Technology to Their Data Recovery Offering

Gauteng, South Africa (PRWEB) November 6, 2007

Data Detect, one of Southern Africa’s leading data recovery firms, announced its class 100 (a US federal standard) certification after having invested in cutting-edge clean room technology that allows for hard disk drives (HDD’s) to be opened in a air-managed environment, protected from contaminants.

Customers can now expect a broader range of data recovery and repair solutions from Data Detect’s world-class facility, located in Gauteng, South Africa.

Everything from RAID recovery, forensic services (for criminal or civil cases), as well as removable media (including storage devices), laptop / desktop, operating system, and palm pocket recovery can confidently be conducted by Data Detect’s experienced engineers. In addition, Data Detect can accurately recover data from a mobile phone’s SIM card or an IPOD.

Now, with the addition of cutting-edge clean room technology, Data Detect is effectively able to conduct complex recoveries on highly sensitive media, such as hard disk drives. A recovery procedure can prove disastrous when highly sensitive electronic components are exposed to humidy, light, temperature or airborne contaminants.

Built to the highest quality, a clean environment is ideally sealed to restrict the migration of contaminants. With air management equipment and high-end filtration systems, a build up of positive air pressure further protects the chamber.

About Data Detect

With 10 years in the data recovery field in Southern Africa, Data Detect prides itself on a success rate of over 90%. They supply customers with an incomparable technology and skills mix to overcome challenges posed by data loss or unstable storage media. ActionFront Completes First Data Recovery Cases Using SignalTrace? Technology

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 13, 2006 ?

ActionFront Data Recovery Labs, a leader in resolving business-critical data loss for all brands and formats of digital media, is pleased to announce the deployment of SignalTrace? into regular production and the first customer recoveries using this revolutionary drive-independent technology.

SignalTrace? technology can recover data from media that is so severely damaged it cannot be addressed by traditional recovery methods. By replacing the exacting, optimized signal processing and positioning functions of ?hyper-tuned? disk drives with custom hardware, software and algorithms to precisely locate particular sectors of data, SignalTrace? recovers each user bit individually ? independent of the drive?s specific hardware.

Emerging from a comprehensive R & D stage, SignalTrace? procedures were successfully applied to recover data from drives experiencing significant drive head degradation. Because conventional internal parts replacement recovery methods would prove insufficient, these hard drives were ideal candidates for SignalTrace? recovery techniques.

SignalTrace? is the result of many years of research and a substantial investment of ActionFront resources. ActionFront first announced the development of this advanced data recovery procedure and methodology in 2004. From an initial prototype, following extensive testing, SignalTrace? has now been brought into full production. In his white paper entitled ?Recovering Unrecoverable Data, The Need for Drive-Independent Data Recovery,? Charles H. Sobey, Chief Scientist of ChannelScience, stated that ?SignalTrace? is the only solution known to date that can recover user data from modern previously un-recoverable drives.?

?This is truly a landmark achievement in the data recovery industry,? commented Christian Sorensen, ActionFront?s Vice President of Technical Operations. ?ActionFront?s drive-independent recovery methodology opens the door to even the most challenging recoveries from any brand of hard drive. We are extremely proud to be the first to offer this solution to businesses and individuals who otherwise would have never gained access to their valuable data. We are looking forward to leveraging Seagate?s drive engineering expertise and resources in our continued advancement of SignalTrace? technology.?

State of the Art Database Disaster Recovery and Online Backup Technology Updated at Revamped CRC DataProtection Website

Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) October 24, 2006

CRC DataProtection announces its newly revamped website offering the latest in database disaster recovery and online backup technology.

CRC DataProtection delivers secure, affordable solutions for businesses concerned with database protection, protection of file systems, message level backup of enterprise email servers, bare-metal-restores, and regulation compliance. CRC DataProtection’s services allow small, medium and enterprise-class organizations to quickly restore critical data in the event of a server disaster, and continue operating with minimal or no business disruption.

“Many businesses, both large and small, still use old tape technology to protect one of their most critical assets — their data,” says Robert Gerace of CRC DataProtection. “With recent disasters such as 9-11 and Katrina, it really points out the need for businesses to use state of the art database protection.”

Safeguarding data in a large enterprise environment is a challenge, particularly across remote office networks that may include hundreds of machines and wireless laptops. CRC delivers complete online backup protection of critical data across distributed computing environments. Enterprises operating at multiple sites such as divisions, retail stores, or branch offices are able to significantly improve the reliability and efficiency of backup procedures while simplifying and streamlining those procedures.

CRC DataProtection delivers:

Automated, offsite backup of business data

All backups completed to disk — eliminating tape based failures

Increased productivity with lowered backup windows

Economical, tiered long-term data storage

Quicker restoration of data following a disaster

Message-Level Restore

Continuous Data Protection

Guaranteed recovery

Monthly consulting to ensure continuous protection even as data changes

Backup Life Cycle Management to ensure all data remains protected at a cost equal to its current value

Companies of all sizes and industries share the need to protect critical business data, and to do so in a cost-efficient manner. Small and medium size businesses (SMBs) have many common objectives with larger enterprises when it comes to protecting critical data, but because of cost and manpower restraints, significant distinctions exist in the scope of SMB and Enterprise data protection requirements and present SMBs with unique challenges.

CRC DataProtection Enterprise Database Disaster Recovery is a comprehensive online data protection solution that addresses the needs of SMBs while simultaneously eliminating excessive costs incurred by outdated tape backup technology.

In addition, CRC assures businesses are fully compliant. Given recent directives like Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and HIPAA, business managers can face personal liability for mishandling data or not being able to produce data. CRC DataProtection’s compliance engineers will analyze a company’s specific needs to customize a data protection solution that is compliant with current laws and regulations. Whether the business is in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or financial industries, CRC can make sure that a company’s data policies are compliant.

To top it off, CRC takes pride in providing world class support services to all of its clients. The CRC support staff is comprised of highly trained, highly capable, customer-centered professionals. Support is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

About CRC DataProtection

Every day more than 800 companies rely on CRC DataProtection to safeguard their critical business data with state of the art online backup technology and database disaster recovery. Sutus Business Central Surges ahead with Green Office Technology

Vancouver, B.C. (PRWEB) September 11, 2008

The Sutus Business Central?, a multi-service business gateway (MSBG) that provides Small Businesses with a fully integrated data, networking and telephony solution today has released its findings related to the energy savings of it’s small business technology. In addition to its business operational features, the power consumption, design and advanced remote support of Business Central dramatically reduces a small business’ carbon footprint compared to a piecemeal solution that provides equivalent business functionality.

In the course of a year, the Business Central requires 350 kw/hrs power*. This is 1261 kw/hr lower than the power usage of the combined products used by most small businesses to match the functionality of the Business Central. The power difference is equivalent to .98 metric tonnes of CO2 tonnes per year. That’s the equivalent of parking the car for 60 days a year or replacing a twenty year old fridge with an ‘energy saver’ model

As well as having low power requirements, the Business Central enjoys a very streamlined design with dimensions of 9” by 11” by 4”. This is little bigger than a Microsoft Xbox and is considerably smaller than the combined dimensions of a competing piecemeal solution. In addition, advanced remote support and management features built into the Business Central mean that the device can be remotely monitored, upgraded and repaired without the need to send out a technician or for the small business staff member to spend long periods on the phone.

The Sutus Business Central ™ has been developed specifically for businesses of up to 25 employees and comprises a wide array of advanced data and networking functions such as: file server, email server, router, firewall, wireless access point, VPN remote access server, automated backups, and a business-class phone system with the ability to simultaneously support both standard phone line and VoIP connections.

The Business Central is also a gateway for hosted services and is ideal for businesses that promote remote working or those with employees in numerous locations.

Shawn Chute, EVP of Sutus, commented, ‘People are rapidly becoming more conscious of their effect on the environment and this is starting to show in some of their business decisions. Small business owners in particular have the advantage of being able to change the way their company operates in many ways according to their preferences. The Sutus Business Central enables them to improve business functionality while helping the environment by utilizing our “all-in-one” energy efficient complete office solution..’

*Assumes constant power 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
