Augmented Reality Cosmetic Mirror

Giant Shiseido has come out with a Digital Cosmetic Mirror that can be used to test make-up and recommendations without even having to pick up a mascara brush. Using augmented reality to do sampling is a novel way to involve consumers, and can be a useful technology for saving on waste. All you do is sit down and let the camera scan your face. The terminal then gives you tailored recommendations. Pressing a few buttons on the touch-screen will paints the make-up onto your image in real time, allowing you to see the results instantly. You can also try out make-up that is currently making waves, along with printing out before and after photos with product information for you to go make the purchase of whichever colors caught your eye the most. Currently this machine is station in Takashimaya department store in Shinjuku. Hopefully it will ship to worldwide soon.

The best 5 alarm clock to wake you up

1) Flying alarm clock

The Flying Alarm Clock wakes you up with a loud shrieking alarm coupled with a little propeller-driven key that leaps off your nightstand. To turn off the horrible racket, you have to get out of bed and retrieve the key. The propeller flies the key high into the air and off into some dusty corner. You have to force your to wake up, get out of the bed and retrieve the key. Insert the key back into the key hole so as to turn off the alarm clock. All these movements should be enough to keep you a wake and kill off your sleeping mood.

2) Gong! Alarm Clock

The alarm plays the voice of a broadcaster and the gong rings unless you can hit the clock within three counts (wrestling version) or 10 counts (boxing version). The product tests the user’s reflex ability to rise in time before the round is over.

3) Puzzle alarm clock

When alarm sound off and at the same the clock will also fire four puzzles pieces up in the air. The only way to turn off the alarm is to find all 4 puzzle pieces and assemble them up. By cracking your brain to find the puzzles and solve it should be enough to prevent you from going back to sleep.

4) Sonic bomb alarm clock

The only alarm clock that come with a bed shaker. If you think that the alarm is not loud enough you can slip this bed shaker under your pillow.

5) Railroad Crossing Signal Alarm Clock

Nothing special about this alarm clock. I just find that the noisy sounds cause by the Japanese train railroad signal blast off is more than enough to annoy me and wake me up.

For those who like to DIY, can check out my previous post on world loudest alarm clock.
